GAH! Pedobear at a Festival! Empty GAH! Pedobear at a Festival!

It was rather late at night, but the people in Magnolia were as active as ever. The stars aided the moon in lighting up the dark sky above. In unison they shone down onto the people at the surface. It was such a beautiful night, the perfect night for a festival...which is exactly what Haruto planned on going to. The youth was dressed in his usual attire: a green jacket over a black sleeveless, green shorts, and matching green boots. It was luckily the perfect attire at the moment, for it was abnormally hot. Almost hot enough to make him sweat. Though, he wasn't supposed to dwell on such matters. He had to focus on getting to that festival he heard of so much. The news about it went all throughout the town, so he was bound to be told eventually. However, he had no idea on where it was being held. That left only one thing to do: follow the crowd. For the past few minutes that's what Haru had been doing. And so, a sighed escaped his lips as he walked through Magnolia's streets, following the large group of people in front of him. Fortunately, it didn't take too long to arrive at his destination, for even more individuals reached his sights along with various rides and games.

All the bright lights and loud noises hit Haruto like a ton of bricks, forcing him to flinch and take a small step back. He obviously enjoyed having fun, especially with other people. The festival was the perfect place for that. Though, this was probably a bit too much for him...nah! The boy took in a deep breath and walked forward, observing all the different people and games available to play. A faint smile took over his features as he did so. However, he became too caught up in the scenery and almost bumped into a round and old-looking man. He fortunately stopped himself at the last minute, but almost fell backwards because of it.
"Ah! You!" the man exclaimed once he took notice of Haruto. The poor boy looked to the left, to the right, then pointed at himself in question. "Yes! You! Look, please tell me you're able to use magic?" At this, Haru was forced to raise an eyebrow. This man sounded desperate, highly worried as well, maybe a bit stressed...or maybe very stressed. He wasn't exactly one to leave someone hanging, so the youth nodded and allowed his lips to form a small grin. That was when the plump man immediately grabbed his shoulders and shook with, seemingly, all his might. "Then hear me out! I am Sir Renold, the manager of this festival. Something terrible has happened, terrible! The children...The children have been disappearing without a trace and I need someone to search for them! Please, I need you to help me!"

Usually, Haruto would have allowed most of what the man said to pass through one ear and out the other, he was speaking far too fast and loudly. However, this was a cry for help. He just had to assist this man. After the man released his surprisingly strong grip on his shoulders, the youth saluted, "Aye, aye captain. I shall look for those missing children." He could practically feel the relief emanating from Renold's frame.

It had been about...twenty through thirty minutes since Haruto had agreed to searching for the missing children. So far, he wasn't having any luck. He searched high and low, from the festival booths to the amusement rides any kid would go onto. Well...he knew that he would go ahead and ride them. At least, anything except the ones that made him nauseous. Not to mention he was a kid himself, so he was supposed to be an expert at things like this. However, that didn't explain why searching for these kids was becoming so difficult, unfortunately. They couldn't have possibly gone too far. After all, the festival only started a few hours ago. That practically screamed the children had to be somewhere nearby. Haruto scratched the back of his head as he finished searching near the cotton candy stand. No, he didn't even see any kids by the cotton candy. Something was very wrong with this picture, and he didn't like it one bit.

After the cotton candy, there was only one place left for him to search: the Ferris Wheel. It had to be his least favorite ride, but he had no choice. Haru shrugged and made his way over to the Ferris Wheel, soon taking note of how barely anyone was anywhere close to it.
"That's really strange..." the youth mumbled to himself. This deserved an investigation of sorts. The closer he got the more he became uncomfortable. Something...something was there, and it had to be related to the missing children. With his enhanced vision, he eventually spotted a faint purple coming from the Ferris Wheel, which confirmed his suspicions. The boy furrowed his eyebrows as his pace grew faster, and faster, and faster, until he finally managed to reach the source of the purple light. What he saw didn't happen to sit too well with him. There was a man, a very strange looking man clad in black who seemed rather insane. Perhaps he was crazy, it would be a great guess. Haruto felt his body slightly tense upon seeing the man slowly turn, stopping until he was fully facing the boy.

"Hey!" Haruto called out while unconsciously clenching his fists, "Who the heck are you?"
The cold smile he was given almost made him shiver, almost.

"Oh? They actually sent a child to me. How pleasant." his voice was scratchy and cold, like most typical villains out in the world. However, he couldn't shake the unnerving feeling this guy gave him... "With you here my plans shall be complete! Don't worry, boy. It shall all be over soon~" Once the strange man took a step forward, Haruto immediately took a step back, and once another one was taken forward another was taken back. No way was he scared, he wasn't afraid of someone such as this. However, he didn't want to fight just yet. The youth currently had no idea where the children were located and couldn't waste time on this. But, if fighting was inevitable, then that's what it has to come down to. He suddenly stopped moving and looked downwards which forced the crazy man to stop as well. A wicked grin had taken over his features while he looked down at Haruto.

"Tell me..." Haru called out, catching the blonde's attention, "What's your name?" As if it wasn't already wide enough, the man's smile grew larger than ever before. Though, the boy still kept his head down and wasn't planning on lifting it until he was given an answer.
"Relic." was the response he was given, "Thank goodness you're not like the other children. They thrashed and clawed at me, they just didn't understand the reason they were taken. You are different, though. You are specia-"

"Relic? Does that mean you're ancient?" Haruto gained a grin of his own upon spotting the now frustrated expression on Relic's face. Suddenly shadows began to form around him, resulting in Haru shuffling back by a few inches. He'd never seen someone who utilized shadow magic, which he assumed this was, but it was definitely a sight to see. The shadows then disappeared which definitely confused the boy. However, he guessed something must have happened due to the smirk on Relic's ugly face. His eyes narrowed as they quickly scoured the area, looking for any signs of something related to shadows...other than the darkness that was around them. If it weren't for the purple light, Ferris Wheel, and street lights it would be completely pitch black. His ears soon picked up a faint sound...a sound similar to that of something whizzing through the open air. Haru's eyes widened as he swiftly leaned to the left, barely dodging the projectile aimed at the back of his head. Though, he was a bit too slow, for it managed to graze his cheek leaving an unwanted cut. He quickly brought a hand up to the wound and brushed his fingers against it, feeling a somewhat familiar warm liquid. Blood.

Relic's crazy smile appeared on his face again, "My, my, you're quick on your feet. But that was just luck. Prepare yourself!" The boy prepared to growl at the blonde, and was definitely going to, if it wasn't for that stupid shadow sword traveling back in his direction. This time he was forced to jump upwards since it was aimed at one of his legs. However, it was a trick, for the sword only went a few inches away from his frame before turning around once more. Haruto barely had any time to react, but luckily managed to adjust his body to the side. Unfortunately the shadow sword grazed his shoulder which left another ugly gash. After he landed on the ground, Haru glared at his enemy who was merely laughing and grinning as if their whole "fight" a blast. Perhaps it was about time he got serious...

Haruto took in a deep breathe before charging forward, covering his right hand in a small whirlwind as he did so. Relic was far too caught up in his apparent gloating. He seemed to be a cocky man, already thinking he was going to win with only two strikes in. The youth was about to fix that little part of his attitude. Utilizing his speed, Haru immediately closed in on his enemy and wasted no time in striking, aiming his fingertips for the man's stomach. Relic seemingly came back to his senses at the last second and attempted to dodge by leaning away. However, the trail of wind Haruto left behind managed to deeply cut the man's side, forcing him to yell in absolute pain. And immediately after he had done so the shadow sword quickly disappeared. This was it, this was his chance.

The boy quickly performed a complete 180, now facing Relic's pained self. He didn't bother absorbing the man's facial expression, he didn't bother noticing the look in his eyes. He was focused on one thing: defeating this guy to retrieve the missing children. Haruto first inhaled, gathering his magic into his lungs before releasing a large blast of powerful winds from his mouth.
"SKY DRAGON'S ROAR!!" he shouted while doing so, hitting his opponent at point blank with his spell. It sent the man flying and out into the open, where he landed onto the ground and laid unconscious. A sigh escaped the youth's lips as he looked towards the night sky, completely disregarding the children that were now appearing. He didn't notice them until they all screamed out in delight, apparently happy to be freed from Relic's evil spell. Haruto turned to the group of kids and allowed a smile to grace his lips. He would definitely have a lot to tell Ruko once he returned to their hotel... "Let's get you guys home."
