Troublesome
How hard was relaxing? Charlotte would ask herself ever so often, wondering hif someone like her would get any time to relax. It was this question that brought her to Magnolia to enjoy the festival that takes place once a year there. It was well received by the crowds and not to mention the fact that it was like Christmas for them. So, there she was trying to finally relax all of her nerves after all the missions she did to train herself and get some money in her pocket. It was difficult and she found herself losing focus so many times. But, in the end, she pulled through though she might just not be completely happy with her work…or maybe not happy at all.
Anyhow, she was hoping for some fun where she would go around, eat and play games. She especially wanted to eat the candy apples that the famous magnolia food stalls gave out. So…why was she now standing n front of a crying manager who was begging her for help again? Oh that’s right…he realized that she was Charlotte and asked her to help him with the missing children case. Apparently, some children has gone missing from the festival and it’s bringing trouble to the manager and everyone else not to mention the amount of crying parents crowded in front of the manager’s office. For some reason, they are blaming him.
Charlotte looked up and found a strange purple light coming from the direction of the ferris wheel. It didn’t take her much time to get there what with she was standing somewhere around the merry go round which was pretty close to her destination. She found a strange guy standing at the foot of it, giving her an eerie smile which she shrugged off in seconds. She had seen smiles creepier than that before in her line of work, she shrugged as she asked him to give the children back. He replied her with a ‘let’s play a game’ followed by instructions on if she defeats him, the children shall appear. Honestly, the whole thing felt like a festival game for the lightning mage who raised an eye brow at him. By the time he had got his shadow sword up, Charlotte had her whips ready and was charging at her with full speed. A kick to his face was the first thing she did followed by jumping up using his head and brining his whips down from above him, successfully dealing a higher amount of damage than what her whips usually do which sadly was the end of the mage. It wasn’t that difficult because he was weak from the very beginning. As the spell on the Ferris wheel began to lift, the children started to appear one by one, each and every one of them running straight to their mother, making Charlotte smile at them. After hearing a collective thanks from the cute little things she saved, Charlotte headed over to the manager’s room, clearly going to get some reward for what she did when she was supposed to be relaxing.
