There's change on the horizon, and this time it's far less of a downer than that whole 'guild destruction' thing everyone's so riled up about! To put it simply, we're ready to open up the position of Ace in the various guilds and factions. "Oh, but I'm only Rank C, what ever will I do to get strong enough in time?" Well, that's simple. To facilitate this, we're opening the position to anyone it makes sense to, in some cases including new characters. The downside is, they will have to work to make up for the difference in experience and other things they would have gotten along the way.

Requirements:
To become the Ace, a few things must hold true to your character.

1. They must be an upstanding individual, whom many would vouch for as a good guy or gal (did I just say gal?)

3. They'll have to enter a thread where they roleplay out becoming the Ace before the position is finalized.

New Characters:
Some guilds still don't currently have a proper candidate for their new Ace. This might require someone to make a character to fit the position. They still have to fit the previously stated requirements in their background (which can't be short or too simple if you want a position like this with a new character!)

Characters starting out at level 6 will have the following benefits:

Starting out at a higher rank

Drawbacks:
Zero starting Exp just like any other character



Existing Characters:
1. Existing characters who are accepted will be raised to the appropriate Rank and keep their current Exp.



How do you get this position? Well, that's simple. You apply for it, and we (the staff) will decide what we think as a group. It will be a first come-first serve basis. That means that even if your choice would have been better, the fact that you made it two weeks after we accepted the other one isn't going to matter much.

So what's the catch?

Oh, there's no catch... unless you count the obligation to make small or large-scale guild-based events to help your guild get a chance to role play together, as well as making the occasional mission for them to do. As far as the guild events, that's largely up to you as long as you clear the bigger ideas with the people upstairs. You're free to do anything from host a character's birthday party to some large guild-specific story arc, depending on what you as the Ace fancy.

A guild Ace also has the unofficial role of saying hi to new users who join their guild.

What about Guild Masters?

Not yet. The ones in power still have stuff to do in the background of the plot first. We'll let you know if something becomes available.

Some characters are ideal within their groups already, and they will be asked by the staff about taking the position. The other groups are free to apply for the position they want![/color]
