Fame Rules
Fame
How well-known is your character? Do people stop and stare in the streets at the sight of them, or do they pass them by, paying them no more mind than any other stranger on the streets? Fame helps to keep track of that so that others can determine if they would have heard of your character before.
Fame Ranks
Fame is measured in letter ranks, ranging from E to S. An E-rank wizard is your average person. They're probably the type that no one has heard of unless they've personally met. At S-rank, they're world famous. No one can look at you without realizing just who you are, for better or for worse.
E (Unheard of) - People won't look your way on the street, unless your'e calling attention to yourself of course.
D (Known) - A few people have heard of you. You've probably helped (or hurt) some people, and you're starting your climb to fame (or infamy)
C (Locally Famous) - your hometown or the town you live in knows you well. The average person will either wave at you from the sidewalk or cower in fear.
B (Nationally Famous) - All of Fiore has heard of you, even if it is just in passing. At your name, or possibly your face, the average person will recognize you. Even if you haven't met them.
A (World Famous) - Anywhere you go, people have heard of you. Even if you left Fiore you would have a hard finding someone who hasn't heard of you.
S (Legendary) - Only a rare few are considered truly legendary. Their names will be recognized by nearly everyone for generations to come. They probably have a place in the history books as either one of the greatest heroes or as one of the greatest villains of their time.
Fame Points
Fame points are like experience. You need them to raise your fame level. It's a little harder to get fame points than experience, because you need to complete missions or site events to gain them. YOu aren't allowed to take missions more than one rank ahead of you. A breakdown of the points needed to gain a fame rank is as follows:
E Rank - 0 - You start here.
D Rank - 50 Fame Points
C Rank - 150 Fame Points
B Rank - 500 Fame Points
A Rank - 2000 Fame Points
S Rank - 4000 Fame Points
When you gain a rank, your fame points are reset to zero. Extra fame points gained over the limit are lost.
Rewards
You are rewarded fame points through missions or story events, just as was mentioned above. Here's a list of how many fame points you get for each mission rank:
Event - Varies
D Rank Mission - 5 Fame Points
C Rank Mission - 10 Fame Points
B Rank Mission - 20 Fame Points
A Rank Mission - 30 Fame Points
S Rank Missions - 50 Fame Points
