To Draw The Blade (Hunted! D-rank Mission)
Shinkuro liked taking walks, and today was no exception. He had long gotten used to the smell of smoke, the sounds of construction, and the liveliness of the people despite the ruined state of their town. It was a heavy weight in his heart to even think of leaving, but he had an entire world to explore. Time would not wait for him. Besides, exploring had become a favorite of him ever since he fell face first in the world of Illumina.
The fact that the Council had issued a manhunt on all guildless mages had nothing to do with, no sarcasm intended.
Two days ago, he didn't even know what guilds or the Council was. Then all of a sudden he got wind of an attack that happened in the seat of this nation's government that caused this Council to send out an edict saying that all guildless mages should join under an official guild, or be hunted and imprisoned, or something along those lines. Shin didn't want to have to do anything with that, so he had to leave and disappear as soon as he could. Of course, if he saw a fellow guildless mage being hunted, stranger or not, his stupid kindness would force him to go help, therefore exposing him to the danger of the hunt. Sometimes he hated the fact that he was too kind.
In fact, he had started holding his weapon out in the open, disregarding the cautious, even fearful looks of passers-by. He didn't want to be caught unaware, and the sight of a long sword should at least deter some of the Council people going after him. At least, that's what he thought.
