"This might sting a bit..not sure. Sorry for this." Lillian said with a grin as she was fully into this fight now her slightly more psychotic state coming out. It was rare Lillian got to cut loose in such a beautiful way so when a fight got going good she tended to get like this. Although her light claws would have faded she never would have moved her hands from inside of kotone's gut, although she was fairly intelligent with how she reduced the impact. Truth be told few had the guts to charge something so dangerously head on.

Lillian was already starting to like this girl. Using the hand within the injury light energy would gather to the tips of Lillian's middle and index finger, both being the size of silver dollars. Chances are that considering it was within her body, Kotone would be able to feel the heat of the building energy. Assuming she didn't do anything to get Lillian away, which might be difficult as there was now a frozen barrier blocking her from moving the attack would be fired off from inside Kotone's own body.

The spell however is fairly weak so it wouldn't cause much damage, mostly minor internal bruising, really it could be thought of as taking a very strong punch in the gut. As for Lillian's condition ice was starting to form over her clothes due to the unique use of Kotone's shielding spell. Her body temperature was starting to drop although she wasn't in danger just yet. However if she got any colder she would start to enter the first stages of hypothermia.

Kotone had an advantage over traditional ice mages. She didn't have to do the movement people with real ice make magic did. Though she'd managed to do more damage than a person would expect in a fight, Kotone could fix it easily enough. At least until she could get a bandage. She wasn't the hardiest person, but the place she'd managed to pierce wasn't anything serious, or Kotone would be done by now. Literally.

Feeling the energy buildup, Kotone let go of Lillian and grabbed her hand, jerking herself in one direction and the hand in another, directly away from her. It was actually rather precise movement, which was good since that could have hurt her more than Lilian had.

Kotone allowed an ice buildup around her wound, acting like a bandage for now. It wasn't as deep as lillian thought, but certainly stung like it. Kotone nearly attacked Lillian again, but stopped herself short. "Alright, that's enough." she told Lillian, hand on the thin layer of ice. "Let's not let this go too far or we'll both be in the hospital for a week. I can't afford bills like that."

The ice dragon slayer went and retrieved the bag she'd dropped, pulling out some bandages. She always kept them with her. She knew these things happened when you fought for a living. "You're pretty strong for some shy stalker." she told her with a grin, throwing her some of the bandages. "Although in the future, you might want to watch the claws during sparring. You might have hospitalized someone." Kotone was well aware of how much more fragile the average person was. Kotone herself would be down if she hadn't done what she did to prevent further damage. Normally, Kotone would be burning to see who would have won. But her intention had never been to win. She wanted to see how strong Lillian was. Her curiosity had been satisfied.

Blinking Lillian instantly calmed down, reverting back to the kind some what shy girl she always was. At the sound of being called a stalker she gasped a little. "I-I'm not a stalker! I was just..curious.." Lillian spoke timidly as she looked to the ground, her body physically shaking from the cold as she twiddled her fingers together. She was glad they stopped when they did though because truth be told if the fight went on any longer one of them would have ended up hurt.

Lowering her body to the ground, Lillian curled up within the flowers. "So..cold.." She'd mutter in an attempt to warm herself up. It wasn't so bad when she was moving constantly during the fight but now that everything had calmed down..she was down right freezing. After a few moments though she would begin chuckling, her eyes moving over to Kotone. "So, did you have fun?" She'd ask with a smile. It was rare Lillian got to actually play around or at least that is what she saw the fight as..playing around. It really makes one wonder what Lillian's idea of destruction would be, all considered.

The light around Lillian's legs finally faded away as she allowed her spell to come to an end which also ended the constant drain on her magical reserves. Slowly she would sit back up as some of her body heat returned to her. "So, what you going to do now Kotone? Do you need a place to stay for the night?" Lillian asked as she turned her head softly to the side in curiosity, her pink locks falling to the way side accordingly.

Kotone would have offered Lillian something to warm up with if she'd had something, but her shirt was now torn and she was more modest than her short skirt led one to believe. Instead, she  made sure she was properly covered. while Lillian warmed up. When the light wizard began chuckling, she looked over curiously, most of the attitude she'd had before drained away now that she wasn't being so defensive.

"I told you," she answered with a shrug, "I love a good fight. Even when they go a little further than I meant for them to." The teenager's long black hair billowed up in the wind again, thankfully not in her face this time.

Then she was asked if she needed a place to stay. "Well, I was going to try and travel and find a place to camp tonight... but I'm a bit tired after that little bout. So yeah, I guess I could use a place to stay," she nodded, looking a bit more pleasant than she had before the fight. "Why do you ask?"

Lillian hopped to her feet, already feeling a bit better. Even if Kotone didn't feel the same, Lillian felt she had finally made a friend and thus she was in a rather good mood. "Come with me. I live within the guild hall. You might not be a member but you can sleep in one of our beds for the night. I doubt anyone will have anything to see considering I invited you." Lillian spoke with a smile, a clear chip of joy in her voice as she held out her right hand to help Kotone up from treating her injuries and covering herself up.

Truth be told what she was offering might not normally be allowed but considering how rare it was for Lillian to have friends the chances of anyone speaking out against her about it was slim. That and the fact the guild knew very well of her own strength so chances are no one would want to make her mad even the stronger members just because they wouldn't want to deal with her. Lillian was for the first time in a long time really happy.

That and she was really proud of herself. She promised herself that she would try to overcome her fear of people little by little so tonight was the first time she allowed herself to so openly connect with another human being, though the fact she was a dragon slayer as well did help the process along. So now Lillian had her first friend. Lillian couldn't be happier though she could get warmer.

Lill was right on one account. Kotone hadn't made a new friend. She liked and respected Lillian, but Kotone didn't have friends. She didn't trust anyone enough for that title. Still, she supposed she could use the bed and company. She nodded. "Sure, I'd be happy to stay with you for tonight, if your Lamia Scale friends don't mind," And if they don't realize I'm the one everyone was shouting about earlier.

Kotone was rather different from Lillian. She found socializing easy. She just disliked and distrusted people. Well, disliked was a strong word. She certainly distrusted them, and people tended to have a problem with how she acted. So she didn't make it a point to go out of her way to be friendly.

At least Lillian seemed happy. Kotone smiled a little, feeling like she'd done some kind of good that was appreciated this time. "So, Lillian. Tell me about yourself." she told the girl as she shouldered her backpack on the shoulder that hadn't been punched. If being social and having a fight made the girl this happy, Kotone didn't mind obliging. Really, she liked helping people. Guiding people to being better and stopping those that did wrong was the core of what her father had taught her. It was times like this she was proud of who she was. It was times like when everyone resented her for trying to help that she wasn't.

Lillian looked over her shoulder, listening to Kotone as they walked towards the guild hall. She had asked Lillian to tell her something about herself, but truth be told that was a fairly loaded question. Granted her life story wasn't a very long one it was still some what hard to talk about for her, but all considered she didn't want to risk offending her so Lillian decided she'd go ahead and divulge.

"Well..I was abandoned and left to die when I was a small child. Before that I was a source of abuse for my parents.." Lillian's voice was calm but tempered with a clear act of sorrow. Even though she was just a small child at the time, Lillian never did forget what was done to her. "I thought I was going to die. But my father, Celtor rescued me. He flew me out of the woods where I was left and into an area a few weeks walk from here." Lilly continued to explain as they walked, both of them close enough to see the guild hall in the far distance.

"He taught me many things. How to read, write, math. How to fight, how to hunt and of course how to preform magic. He taught me the worlds history, things many people might have forgotten..it's what he loved the most after all. However, despite all this.." Lillian's voice trailed off for a little bit, searching her memory for images of her long lost father, wishing to see him for comfort. ".. I never did see another human until he had left me, without a word. The only memories of humans I have are the people who would leave a small child to die in the cold. That is why I am so afraid of people..they're all just as bad as them..as far as I can see." Lillian finished as she reached the door to the guild hall, opening the door and allowing Kotone to enter first out of kindness.

"That is about all there is to know about me I suppose..how about you, Kotone?" Lillian would ask with a soft smile though the pain that was brought up from her memories was still clear within her eyes.

Kotone's story was surprisingly similar, something that caused her to raise an eyebrow and adopt a bit of a surprised expression. Kotone could act cool but she was actually a rather emotional person. Her normal emotion was anger.

"Me? Alright, I suppose that's fair,"
Kotone said with a hint of bitterness in her voice. She was bitter towards a lot in her life. "I don't know who my parents were. I was a toddler at best when I was abandoned by my parents. I was lost in the woods like you when the ice dragon, Krendall, found me. He took me in and raised me. He supposed I was about a year or two old when he found me, but he's not an expert on age. That would place me around sixteen or seventeen in age. I honestly don't know," she admitted with a pause.

She continued after a moment. "I was raised by Krendall for about seven years, and he taught me everything he knew. Okay, that's a lie. Krendall loved being mysterious, the old bastard. He taught me everything he wanted to. Then, without warning, he abandoned me, just like my real parents. I know he had a reason, but he's still a jerk for it. I'm going to let him have it the minute I find him again. If I do."

It seemed easy to get Kotone to go on a somewhat relevant tangent when she was talking about her past. It also seemed obvious she loved her father, but was determined to be bitter about his abandonment of her. "I wandered around. Got myself a place to crash at when I was in town because of a nice old lady. Then there was a war, in which I got myself foolishly involved because I was taught to protect people so that they could find their own way. It's been a few years since then, and here I am now. Hiding from angry merchants for getting carried away stopping someone from stealing from them."

"I see. I suppose we're not all that different then huh?" Lillian said with a soft smile as she walked up the stairs, leading Kotone up to her room. Once at the top Lillian would walk down past a few doors, turning at the last door on the right and opening up. "Well, you can stay here for tonight. It's empty since no one lives here, but the bed is furnished. I live in the room right across from you." Lillian said as she pointed to the door directly across from the one she had just opened.

"Feel free to stay as long as you want. Despite how we seem from time to time, Lamia Scale is a friendly bunch. They accepted me without hesitation after all." Lillian spoke with smile and a rare warmth to her tone, a type of happiness she rarely ever show'd. "Well..I'm going to bed. I'll see you in the morning, assuming you don't sneak off on me." Lillian gave one small bow and a wave off to her new companion before opening the door to her room and closing it behind her.

Once behind closed doors a few held back tears fell silently to the ground as she hugged herself. Thinking about the past always ruined her emotionally but she was used to it by now. She wouldn't cry out..she didn't want to worry anyone. Sighing, she would get ahold of her senses then climb into bed, going to sleep for the night.

Kotone Hoshino sighed as Lillian closed the door to her own room. The girl was weird. But then she supposed dragon slayers must be weird. And damaged. She flipped her hair again, getting out her hairbrush and going about getting ready for bed. She hadn't planned to stick around. But she would see.

She sat on the bed, now in her pajamas she took with her, which were rather light clothing year-round since she couldn't get cold, and drew her knees up to her chin. She did miss Krendall. She wanted to hit him, true, but she also wanted to hug him. She made 'hrmph' noise as she fell back onto the bed. "I guess we'll see. I didn't expect to find another dragon slayer, after all...."

Kotone laid in bed for awhile, not really sleeping. Her side was more sore than she'd realized. But she'd be healed up in no time. Dragon slayers had pretty nice recovery time, even the more frail ones. She'd have to remember not to let either of them get so rough if they sparred again. Lilly had some pretty nice cuts on her arms now, too. And she kind of felt bad for it now that they'd stopped and she was no longer in the heat of the moment. "Goodnight, dad." she said to the air, a habit she'd picked up as a small child. She usually whispered it if around people. But she wasn't, so she didn't bother. With that, she rolled over and tried to sleep.
